Once a remote village in the Alps, many accommodations in Livigno were only built in the 1960s. One of these was Hotel Lac Salin Spa & Mountain Resort which our father and grandfather, Emilio Giacomelli, bought in 1997. It belongs to our Lungolivigno group of companies as well as other accommodations in Livigno: Hotel Concordia and the Montivas Lodge. Purchasing the hotel was our beloved father’s last great coup and both he and our mother, Domenica, have had a great influence on the history of tourism in the Valtellina valley. Even after his death his spirit lives on at our accommodation in Livigno – a spirit that appreciates one’s own roots, takes wing, and climbs upward to conquer the future.
